I noticed that I haven't posted anything in a long time so I thought I would share a few cards that I have made the last couple of months. The first one was done for a Bookmark Card Swap on SCS. The brown cardstock is textured and from Brazzil. The colored cardstock is from DCWV Indian Summer stack. I have become an addict with there stacks. I love the foil and different patterns that stack has.

The second pic is of the bookmark. The purple paper is from the DCWV Indian Summer Paper Stack. The stamp I got at Hobby Lobby and it says, "Take Time to enjoy The Simple Things".

This card was inspired by the swap Pink Christmas. The cardstock is from the Gemstone Collection at JoAnn's and the paper is from K&I. Its shimmery and iridescent...added a snowflake and a green glitter brad. Happy Pink Christmas!

This last card was done for a Naughty Christmas Card swap on SCS. I had some leftover red cardstock in my scrap stash and the green paper is from K&I. You can't tell but it is shimmery with hot cocoa on it. The stamp is from My Favorite Things and colored with markers. Added a candy cane sticker and red jewels at the bottom. The inside says, "Is that a candy cane in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" I got back some awesome cards from this swap and can't wait till next years swap.

So just wanted to updated some older cards

So I was looking at my blog at I decided it needs more pics so here are a few more cards that I have made. The first one is the famous "Party Girl" from My Favorite Things. I love her! Everyone should be able to kick up there heels and dance like no one is watching. The black paper is Bazzil Black Tie and the red is just some that I had in my scrap stacks. I used color pencil and then stickled her dress, tail and horns.

The next card is one that I made for a ribbon swap for the Card Crafting Divas on Yahoo. The red paper is from the DCWV spring cardstock stack and the ribbon is from Sugar N Spice. I stamped two different flowers and then added some greenery and colored. Enjoy!

SCS Goddess Swap

I belong to SplitCoastStampers and have been addicted to the card swaps lately. I joined a card swap called "Goddess Swap" and had to get creative. First I looked on line and looked up goddesses and thought maybe I could make a card from that. Then I remember the site My Favorite Things and thought about some of the cute stamps that could work with this swap. Here is my rendition of a Goddess! The image is from My Favorite Things, paper is from the DCWV Spring Solid Stack and the pink paper underneath is some that I found in my scrap heap :P. Inside it says "Everyone Deserves a Little Pampering". Enjoy all you Goddess's!

Inchie Swap

Well I belong to a group on Yahoo called Card Crafting Divas and we have different swaps every month. This month's swap was an Inchie Swap. I have never used inchies before and had to get creative about this card. I will tell you that inchies can be fun but unless you have the 1 inch punch and you have to cut them by hand then they become a pain. The paper used to make the actual card as well as the multied colored squares are from the DCWV Indian Summer stack. I love stacks and they are threatening to take over my craft room. The orange paper is actually glitter paper from DCWV also. I didn't know that till I just looked. To funny!

Birthday Card done for a friends daughter

So I created this birthday card for my friends daughter who totally loves asain inspired things as well as dragons. The dragon and the red square are from sissex, the cardstock is black brazzell from Michaels. I am not sure where I found the red and black paper though, but I do know that I wish I had bought more of it. I made the earrings for her present. They are brassy asain coins from Oriental Trader. When she recieved the earrrings I got a phone call that she loved them very much and her mom has told me that she never takes them off.

Starting A Blog

So starting a blog can be very interesting...coming up with the name is one of the hardest parts of it. I decided on Scraps, Bits & Pieces because I didn't have to commit to just one thing. I love to bead and my bestie has recently introduced me to scrapping. I am a beginner and still learning all the techniques. Never dreamed that there is so much information about scrapping, card making, templates, papers, stamps, jewelry, beads, clasps, wires, etc...So this blog is for myself as well as my friends (the tired and true and the one's that I haven't' met yet!).
Hope you enjoy it!
